Facility Accomplishments!

As of September 2017

USDA grant funds have enabled us to reconfigure electric service as required by AEP,  install new wiring and lights in most areas, install a fire resistant ceiling in Unit A.  A fire alarm system was donated by Safe and Sound in Hinton, WV.

Our first payment from the USDA grant was to pay this $26,500 toward the loan at FNB Peterstown, which we did.

The rear apartment was repaired and rented for several months.  It is available to rent now.

Brick wall in assembly was exposed and sealed. Floor painted, stage built and installed. Walls painted.

Outside entrance to basement sealed, inside access reworked.

Two restrooms renovated in the assembly area.

The balcony has been stained and is ready for furnishings.

Pam Jackson and Missy Weddle attended a workshop at the Beverly Heritage Center in Randolph County on March 19.  Presenters represented the State Historic Preservation Office, WV Preservation Alliance, and preservation consultants.   This was a beautiful example of how landmarks can be preserved and the people who make it happen.
